We're on a roll

Every year for the past 6 or 7 years we have gone to Swiss Days in Midway over Labor Day weekend. Even when we lived in Georgia it seemed we were in town for Swiss Days. This year Aunt Tiffany Salter and her daughter Abigail were in town from San Antonio and stayed at the cabin with us and Grandma and Grandpa Price. We enjoyed our knockwurst sandwiches and got to see everything without the crowds as Friday evening turned out to be the perfect time to attend. On Saturday morning Adam and I took the kids to the Swiss Days parade where they collected an insane amount of candy. There weren't any other kids nearby yet everyone in the parade threw candy to us by the handful. The kids were downright giddy and were pretty sure it was the best parade they had ever attended. Gotta love those small town parades. This never would have happened in the city.

Our adventurous weekend did not end there, however. We packed up after the parade and headed out to Rexburg, Idaho. Yes, Rexburg. It was a first for both Adam and me. Actually I remember going to Rexburg in 1984 ish to see my Great Aunt Libbie who was 103, but that is another story entirely. Anywho, my sister Heather recently moved there and the whole family traveled to attend her daughter Elsie Janene's baby blessing. Adam and I got to see the Rexburg Temple which is almost ready to be dedicated.

We also saw another house that left us rather perplexed. On the way to Heather's new house is a house that is in the shape of a boat. Yes, a boat. Who builds their house in the shape of a boat? I'm thinking of contacting HGTV and nominating the house for their program entitled, "What's With That House?" It sounds like a perfect match to me.
