High Five!

Jenna was born exactly 5 years ago today. I could hear her in her bedroom this morning when she first woke up (she was alone in her room as Korinne was already awake and in our room) she said to herself, "Yeah! It's my birthday!" (The apple doesn't fall far from the tree now does it?) It was pretty cute. I surprised her with a small container of strawberry (and very pink) milk for breakfast and she was so excited she declaired it the best day EVER! Ah, wouldn't it be great if such simple contentment were the norm? We had a family party tonight and here she is opening gifts.

She got this pink bike and when we asked her to stand by it so we could take a picture she immediately went into 'full posing mode' with her hand behind her head and on her hip. (Where do they learn these things?)
