Easter

On Monday morning Jameson complained that his hands and feet were itchy.  One look at the bumps that had formed around his mouth and I knew right away he had come down with Hand, Foot and Mouth disease.  His friend Ace had it last week and we had hoped he hadn't picked it up, but apparently he did.

Jameson was pretty miserable for the first few days.  His hands and feet were so itchy he couldn't sleep at night.  On Monday night I think he finally fell asleep at about 3 a.m. so on Tuesday night around 10 p.m. when it was obvious it was going to be another sleepless night Adam and Grandpa gave him a priesthood blessing.  He quickly fell asleep afterwards and the next morning his hands were already looking a lot better.  After that he felt a lot better, but still felt the restrictions of not being able to go to preschool or play with friends.  Fortunately he could still play with Ace so the two of them stuck together this week. 

Korinne's orchestra performed for their classmates this week at a school assembly. She did a great job.

My sister Heather and her family arrived on Saturday in time for all of the girls to go to the General Women's Meeting at our stake center.  It was the beginning of spring break around here so numbers were few which meant there were more than enough delicious sugar cookies following the meeting for us to have as many as we wanted. Lucky us.

After the meeting Grandma supervised the egg dying with the grandkids to kick off Easter.

Jameson refused to smile for a picture, so I told him to make an angry face. This is what I got.

Easter Sunday was a little chilly, but beautiful and sunny.  The kids loved playing with cousins.  Here they were pretending to be in school and Anna is the teacher.

The Saturday night cousin dance party was as Jenna put it, "epic."
