On Tuesday morning I took Libbie on a little ride around the valley. It was her first road biking experience.
I think she gave it a thumbs up, although she did say that riding up the big hill back to my house "isn't for wusses!"
Guess who got her braces off Tuesday?
A picture 2 years in the making. Jenna was very happy.
Last week my kids still had plenty of cousins to hang out with since McKay, Tiffany and Libbie and their families were all staying at my parents house. The ice was already broken so the cousins were in full play mode and had a great time playing board games, card games, outdoor night games, etc. Capture the flag was a favorite in Grandma and Grandpa's yard.

On Thursday it was off to the county fair with Grandma and Grandpa.
Grandpa felt right at home with the big Case equipment on display

This year they even had an elephant at the fair.
Thursday night Jameson went to his first kickball game. It's for 3 and 4 year olds and is his first taste of organized sports.
For everyone that wanted to go to the game but couldn't make it, here is a little bit of the action.
With yellow as their color they named themselves the Minions. Cute. I forget how fun it is to watch little people run around after soccer balls.
On Friday we had to hit Lagoon one more time with the other season pass holders in the family. Heather was back down for the weekend for some fun and to attend Sadie's baptism on Saturday.
We did leave early enough to make it back for Sadie's 8th birthday party at Grandma's house. Jeff and Libbie broke out a pinata for the cousins.
All lined up from youngest to oldest.
I had to laugh a little when I looked over and saw the neighbor kids looking longingly at the festivities. They were eating ice cream, so at least they weren't too miserable. :-)

Sadie lives in South Carolina but was baptized at our stake center that afternoon so all of the family could be there to support her.

Heather and Aaron headed home after the baptism and then everyone else started saying goodbye after sacrament meeting on Sunday. Tricia and McKay were the first to leave, then Tiffany and Abigail left to catch their flight back to Texas and finally Jeff and Libbie packed up and headed out after the 3 hour block. We were certainly sad to see them all go.
Xander and Jameson are 1 year and 4 days apart and were little buddies. J-mo sure loved having Xander around all day every day so it was hard for him to see him leave.
The classic "goodbye in the garage" pose.
Sadie loves to gives hugs, check out the not so receptive Korinne in the bottom of the photo.
It was sad to see them drive away because it meant that after almost 3 weeks of non-stop family partying it was all over.
At least we had a beautiful sunset that night. Amazing.
