So it's the year 2015.
When I was a kid the movie "Back to the Future II" came out and the "future" part of the movie took place in 2015 which was waaaaaaaaaay into the future. Well, we may not have hover boards today like they did predicted in the movie, but we do have some of the futuristic things they dreamed up for the movie, like being able to talk to people face to face while in different locations (Skype anyone?). Kind of funny.
After Christmas we had Adam's sister Kim and her family stay with us for 2 nights (forgot to take a picture) and we also had a surprise visit from my sister Heather's family who came to stay with Grandma and Grandpa for a few days. On Monday we had a few outings for the kids to burn some energy. First up was the Jump Zone. Adam's connections got all 10 kids in for free! (My favorite price)
After jumping we headed to the indoor ice rink in town for a little ice skating. Being a Monday night it was pretty crowded so some of our crowd decided to call it quits and just go home. Grandma, Heather, Brinley, Anna, Elsie, Quinn, Jenna and Korinne held out and enjoyed some time ice skating with the masses.
The evening ended with a dinner of ham/ cheesy potatoes and Family Home Evening.

We got to see cousins up until they pulled out for home on Tuesday evening. My kids loved having them around and it was good to kind of break up their Christmas vacation.
On New Year's Eve Adam borrowed the ward's projector and we set it up on a blank wall in our basement and watched the movie "The Blind Side" as a family complete with popcorn and soda. I was kind of surprised when Korinne decided to go to bed around 11 p.m. before the movie was even over. We didn't find out until the next afternoon that she had gotten her days mixed up and thought New Year's was that night and not the night before. She was pretty upset when we told her she had missed it when she went to bed mid-movie. Apparently our projector movie wasn't festive enough to send the signal, "Hey, this IS a New Year's party and not just a regular night." We tried to be fun, we really did.

Yeah. . . I remember when the song "We're going to party like its 1999" was playing and I thought 1999 was soooo far away. And here we are in 2015!
