Easter Fun

Ah, it's so nice to see some green on the trees.  This week was the start of a new soccer season for Britton.  He had 2 games, one on Wednesday night and one on Saturday afternoon.  Both were at our home field, which is nice because when they are away games they are AWAY, like in American Fork, or Layton, or Spanish Fork.  Britton scored a goal in the first game and we thought it was going to be the one and only goal of the game until the other team scored in the last few minutes of the game to tie it up. Bummer.

On Saturday the team they played was huge.  Look at Britton compared to the other guys.

The activity day girls in our ward organized an Easter Egg Hunt for the nursery kids at the church on Saturday morning.  Jameson was in heaven and Korinne loved helping out and taking him around.

After the hunt and before Britton's game we spent some time in the yard.  So much to do, so little time and for me so little interest.  Oops, did I say that out loud? Yeah, my attention span when it comes to yard work is about the same as Jameson's. I keep reminding myself I have other talents and interests so it's ok.

Today was Easter and I was pleasantly surprised when Adam didn't have to go to early meetings. It's always nice to have him home.  He made the kids Swedish pancakes for breakfast (Britton decided to change the name to Jerusalem pancakes today in honor of Easter) and then we watched an Easter video from lds.org and gave the kids their Easter prizes-- a chocolate bunny and a box a peeps.  We're not really the Easter bunny/basket kind of family, but the kids were thrilled with their treats.

Then it was off to Grandma's to dye some eggs.  Jameson loved dumping the eggs into the dye and pulling them back out.  Of the 4 kids he dyed the most eggs.

 The older kids got creative with their eggs and they looked great.

They dyed 28 eggs.  Guess what we'll be eating this week? That's a lot of egg salad sandwiches.

For an Easter present Jameson fell asleep in my lap during Sacrament meeting.  I didn't have to take him out in the hall or anything, he just fell asleep.  It's an Easter miracle! :-)
After church we went back to Grandma's for a great dinner complete with ham and cheesy potatoes and then it was time for our Easter Egg Hunt outside.  Here are the kids ready to go.

With Grandma in charge the bags were full of goodies.  The weather was so perfect and made for a fabulous Easter Sunday.
